Over 120,000 mothers receive family planning service

Debrebirhan, December 20, 2011 (ENA) - More than 120,000 mothers benefited from family planning service in North Shoa Zone of Amhara State in the past three months, the zonal health department said.

Department Expert, Meron Assefa told ENA that prenatal and post natal care services were provided to over 25,000 mothers.

She said the services include HIV and AIDS treatment Volunteer Counseling and Testing (VCT) , and anti-lock jaw vaccination.

Anti-eight vaccination was also administered to 10,000 children.
