2008 world AIDS day  was one of those  event where  the  Regional AIDS Resource Center  has achieved a major country wide promotional campaign .The events in  Mekelle on December 06, 2008.
The event was mainly to  promote the Regional AIDS resource centers and Betengna Radio program   in the cities so that it will increase the number of people using the centers and to strengthen its  partnership with GO,NGO and the community at large .
The half day event consists of exhibition, poem competition and entertainment. The exhibition has promoted the IEC/BCC materials developed by the National AIDS Resource center. The coordinators gave briefings regarding the programs and the Regional AIDS Resource centers. The poem competition has explored the potential of youth and their out look of the world regarding Abstinence and the leadership role played by youth in fighting their social and economic problem.
ARC strongly believes that the outreach program will increase the number   of people using the centers and extend its programs across the country. More than 500 people attended the event . the event was sponsored by DKT Ethiopia and National  AIDS Resource center. The details of the activities present on the event were broadcasted on ETV and Radio Ethiopia The wide reach of the Medias has further promoted the services of ARC and World AIDS day campaign in the country.
